About Me

Meet the (Family) Band

Hi there!

Welcome to my humble internet abode.

I’m Mommy on the Mic (MOM).  I’m a daughter of the King, wife to Music Man and mommy to 5 adorable munchkins.   I also am a coffee frappaccino lover, shabby chic devotee and homeschooling newbie.  There’s also a chance I may or may not be having an affair with my kindle.

Music Man and I live an eclectic life.  He works in Hollywood, making and creating music.  We met making a song he was writing and asked me to sing for his project.  You could say that was the beginning of our love song (cheesy yes, but it had to be said.)

Here he is in his happy place.  His literal happy place.  This was taken on a fishing trip to Alaska.  He really is a Renaissance man.   I love the irony of his “serious face” in his favorite place in the whole world.  Men are weird.

Our oldest daughter, Class Prez, is 6 1/2 years old and she is spunky, funny, bossy a leader, and super social.  She loves the water, loves to be the center of attention and Ariel the mermaid is her favorite princess.  She is truly a light in our family.

Next we had Music Major, who is 4 1/2 years old.  Mini Man is introverted, sensitive, kind and already showing signs of being musically gifted.  He also has a fascination with super hero Batman, which makes me laugh since it seems to be the polar opposite of my sweet kid.  I never knew how sweet boys could be until I met this little love bug.

Number 3, Class Clown, adds quite the fireworks to our family dynamic.  He is only 3 1/2 but fills the room with his big personality.  He loves his special “night night” tiger, but doesn’t love food. He recently has been diagnosed with I suspect he hassensory perception disorder.  Class Clown has mischief in his eyes and love in his heart.  He loves books like nobody’s business, cars, cows, trucks and tractors.  He is a near clone of his daddy.  I have suspected that Music Man simply went to the lab and had himself cloned.  He loves books like nobody’s business, cars, cows, trucks and tractors.

We have another little darling boy, The Jock, who is 2 years old.  He was the perfect baby but is quite an energetic boy.  He loves tractors, trucks and cars.  I’ve never seen him happier than when he gets rides on the neighbors tractors that daddy occasionally borrows.

And our littlest newcomer, The Freshman.  She is only a month old but she sure has our entire family enamored with her.  I can’t wait to see what a new and fun dynamic she brings to our lives.
